She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell VandePoel and Olive VandePoel; her siblings, James VandePoel (Irene) and Sara; and her brother-in-law Jim VanHekken.
She is survived by: her nephews, Eric VandePoel (Amy) of Holland, Matthew VanHekken (Debra) of Grand Rapids, Daniel VanHekken (Kimberly) of Clarkston, Dirk VandePoel (Darcy) of Zeeland and Joel VandePoel (Heidi) of Saugatuck; her sister-in-law Irene VandePoel; Rebecca McIlwaine of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and amazing friends.
