With sadness, we share the passing of Merle W. Vander Sluis of Holland, Michigan. Merle, born on July 22, 1944, passed away on June 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Sluis and Wilma Vander Sluis; and his brother Eugene Vander Sluis. He is survived by: his wife Karen (Homkes); his children, Daniel Vander Sluis (Cathy) and Elizabeth Brower (Robert); his grandchildren, Sarah Vander Sluis, Nathan Vander Sluis, Madeline Hofmockel (Cameron), Connor Brower, Thorin Brower and Adrian Brower; and his in-laws, Jan Homkes, Larry Homkes (Carol) and Rick Homkes (Darlene). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
