She was predeceased by: her husband Gerrit "Gite" Van Kampen. She is survived by: her children, Sandra, Harvey Ver Burg of Holland, Linda, Joseph Priselac of Hamburg, Gary, Valerie Van Kampen of Zeeland, Karen and Joe Kloet of Zeeland; her grandchildren, Tom, Amber Ver Burg, Jodi of Riszner, Pat Dwyer, Karl, Sara Ver Burg, Nicholas, Jill Priselac, Tammy Kloet, Katie, Adam Sanford, Alison, Brett Van Rossum, Jennifer, Eric Cavanary and Lee Van Kampen; her great grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica Ver Burg, Jackson, Bryce of Riszner, Ani VerBurg, Lexi, Andy, Emmy Priselac and Zion Sanford; her siblings, Ray (Ann Schutt), Howard Schutt, Don (Marlie Schutt) and Arlene (Ken Tenckinck); her sister-in-law Ila Schutt; and her friends, Elaine Boes, Elaine Timmer and Doris Bell. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.

“Nelva was a wonderful woman. Our first several years at beechwood, we sat in the row ahead of she and her husband. She always made an effort to welcome us with a friendly smile and conversation. She always told us what a great husband she had and that they always prayed together before going to sleep. You have an amazing heritage in a mom, grandmother and great grandmother. We are sure she said many of your names in her prayers each night. We did not meet any of you but god knew each name.”
