He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Dunning and Anna Dunning (Kool); his significant other Joyce Dornbos; his sister Mildred Roelofs; his stepson Christopher DeWitt; and his stepgrandsons, Brandon and Luke DeWitt.
He is survived by: his children, Don Dunning (JoAn), Jim Dunning (Jan West), Sally Swift (Tom) and Paula VandenBrink (Brian); and his stepchildren, Kerry DeWitt (Kaaren), Karen Rodriguez (Antonio), Tom DeWitt (April), Dale DeWitt (Patti) and Dave DeWitt (Michele). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
