He was predeceased by: his wife Marilee; and his brother Donald Vroon. He is survived by: his children, Scott, Julie Vroon, Kathy and Dan Terpstra; his grandchildren, Jayne (Cory Schmidt), Sean Terpstra (Mary Miller), Jeffrey (Brielle Vroon), Nathan (Emilie Terpstra), Sarah (Brad Rhoads) and Jacob Vroon (Morgan Bush); his siblings, Ruth and Marvin Lanser; and his parents-in-law, Virginia Vroon, Bruce, Jan Homkes, Karen, Merle Vander Sluis, Larry, Carol Homkes, Rick and Darlene Homkes. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Holland Christian Schools or Pillar Church.
