With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis De Witt (Holland, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 5, 2024 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis De Witt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Claude Workman and Gertrude Workman; her sister Geraldine Jones (Paul); her stepmother Lyda Workman; and her stepsister Carol Walma (Sam).
She is survived by : her husband Don; her children, Janis Formsma (Ken) of Grand Haven, Karen Denney of Hudson Florida, Jim De Witt of West Olive and Dave De Witt (Pam) of Grand Haven; her grandchildren, Bryan Formsma of Grand Rapids, Christopher Formsma (Molly) of Byron Center, Brad Denney of Hudson Florida, Jennifer De Witt of Holland and Kelsey De Witt of Grand Haven; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Emmarie and Kate Formsma of Byron Center.
In recent years, before COVID-19, she hosted monthly dinners for the whole family in her home, which were very special times for connecting.
