He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Assink and Hazel Assink (Geurink); and his sister Mary Assink. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lisa, Brian Brinks, Bryan and Trisha Assink; and his sisters, Luann DeFeyter (Dave), Bev Assink and Chris Geerlings.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Doors of Hope, or His Harvest Stand.
