He is survived by: his wife Vera Scholten; his children, Thomas (Nella Scholten), Timothy (Lori Scholten), Victoria (Rick Walters), David (Lisa Scholten) and Daniel (Suzanne Scholten); his siblings, Joanne (Mitch De Hoog), Carole Scholten, Jean DeYoung, Mark (Linda Scholten) and Paul (Kim Scholten); and his in-laws, Ruth, Ron Telman, Lee, Jean Scholma, Bernard, Nellie Scholma, Calvin and Ellie Scholma. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yntema Funeral Home (251 S State St, Zeeland, MI 49464). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
