It is with sadness that the passing of Shirley Ann Dawe in Holland, Michigan is shared. Shirley, born on September 16, 1930, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Swan and Margaret Powell; her sister Judy VanderKodde; her husband Newman; and her grandchildren, Swan, Mason and John.
She is survived by: her former husband Jack Alberts; her children, Cynthia Alberts, Karen Thauer (Ed), Susan Groom (Jed), John Alberts (Jacoba) and Judith Burnham (Ed); and her stepchildren, John Dawe (Laura), Marsha Rinker (Michael) and Curtis Dawe (Beverly). She is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the MKD Funeral Home (4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
