He was predeceased by: his son Kevin (Arlene). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kevin Michaelis, Cailey Thomas (Sam), Brendan Michaelis, Joshua Michaelis (Michelle), Nathaniel Michaelis (Jordan) and Mathias Michaelis; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Isaiah and Ella; Keith Michaelis (Sue) of Arlington Hts, IL, Jeff Michaelis (Mary Beth) of Holland and Eric Michaelis (Mina) of Holland.

Memorial contributions may be given to Samaritan's Purse or the Holland Rescue Mission.
