He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert E. Jr. Coppersmith and Esther Schofield Coppersmith (Schofield); his brother Paul R. Coppersmith; and his former wife Kathy Koetje Coppersmith Brown. He is survived by: his aunt Alice Wiersma (Coppersmith). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

True to himself even in passing, Terry was able to help others with donation to Gift of Life Michigan.
