He was predeceased by: his daughter Michele Schoon; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Botsford, Phil Miles and Roger Kamminga. He is survived by: his wife Carla'Vande Bunte'Sterk; his son Rev. Shane (Wendy Sterk); his son-in-law J. R. (Jilanne Schoon); his grandchildren, Jacob, Jasmine Schoon, Zachary Schoon, Caleb Schoon, Ellie, Micah, Abby Sterk, Emma, Jackson Sietsma, Elijah Sterk and Noah Sterk; his sisters, Carolyn Botsford and Doris (Michael Pajak); and his siblings-in-law, Gene (Judy Vande Bunte) and Linda Kamminga. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
