He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob DeVries and Vera DeVries (LaHuis); and his wife Marjorie Guichelaar. He is survived by: his friend Mardi Weerstra; his children, Barbara and David Sharrow of Montrose, CO; his grandchildren, Acacia Sharrow, Melissa, John Blair (John Jr), Sarah, Eric Stephenson, Megan and Ralph Hansel; his children, Eric and Jennifer DeVries of Zeeland; his granddaughters, Jessica DeVries and Stephanie DeVries; his brother Paul (Alma DeVries); and his sister-in-law Donna DeVries of Grand Rapids.
