She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Zwagerman and Fannie Zwagerman; her siblings, Carolyn Walters, Noreen Weener and Willis "Pete" Zwagerman; and her brothers-in-law, Eugene Walters and Charles Hoezee.

She is survived by: her friend Sharon Machiela; her husband Bernard Van Den Berg; her children, Michael Van Den (Lavonne) and Debra Postma (Carl); her grandchildren, Deanne DeYoung (Jesse), Derick Van Den (Angel), Blake Postma (Marie), Regan Montano (Jesus) and Lance Postma Pierce (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Sadie, Dawson, Robin, Amelia, Rachel, Spencer, Nichole and Anika; her sisters, Muriel Hoezee (Charles), Myra Luurtsema (Lester), Vivian Zwyghuizen (William), Ruth Magnell and Donna Boersema (Ronald); and her parents-in-law, Howard Weener and Joan "Joey" Zwagerman.
