He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Johnston and Elaine E. Johnston; and his brothers, William Douglas Johnston and Edward Ray Johnston. He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Johnston Dempsey of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brady, Conner and Chase; and his brothers, James, Patrick and Jeffrey Johnston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
