He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rupert and Jenny Rupert (Tratar); and his brother William Robert "Roby" Rupert. He is survived by: his son Richard Michael Rupert; his siblings, Jeannette Roberta Ratcliffe and Dale J. Rupert (Donna); and his nephew Robert Rorke.
