He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Horton and Janette Horton (Dobson); his sister Laureen Green; and his pets, Large, Sneakers, Teddy, Summer, Quilly, Clark and Pooh.
He is survived by: his wife Diane M. Nielsen; his siblings, Gloria Crawford (Robert) and Eric Horton (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Janet Baugher (Jon), Charles Nielsen and Sondra Letavis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430).
