She was predeceased by: her husband Ricky N. Carpenter; her parents, Franklin Miller and Edith Miller; and her brother Stephen Miller. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Hogue (Jesse) and Kelly Johns (Rob); her grandchildren, Isaac Hogue, Katelyn Hogue, Teague Johns and Addison Johns; and her siblings, Julie DeVries (Micheal) and John Miller (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
