He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Winston" Wilson and Ellen Louise Wilson (Noce); his grandchildren, Tahlia Wilson and Shane Wilson; his great grandchild Oliver Wilson; and his brother Wallace Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Wilson; his children, Carri Wetherell (Sparky), George "Dan" Wilson (Renee), Todd Chambers (Jodi), David Wilson (Elizabeth), Robin Borowski and Dianne Carlisle (Willie); his grandchildren, Joshua Wetherell, Caleb Wetherell, George "Cameron" Wilson (Anna), Stacey Sears (Ryan), Pamela DeMent (Ryan), Tyler Wilson (Brittany), Colin Wilson (Jordyn), Michelle Borowski, Ryan Borowski (Symantha Taylor) and Ta'Lia Carlisle; his great grandchildren, Trystin Wetherell, Charlotte Wilson, Myles Wilson, Noah Sears, Harper Sears, Nathan Sears, Edward DeMent, Mila Popma, Sage Wilson, Brooks Wilson, Remi Wilson, Acre Wilson, Hudson Wilson, Holden Wilson, Olivia Borowski and Mason Christensen; his siblings, Wayne Wilson (Suzie) and Ann Worgul (Dave); and his sister-in-law Pamela Thompson (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
