He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gyles and Elsie Gyles (Behling); his wife Marie Gyles; his siblings, Leo Gyles, Bill Gyles, Margaret Hinkley, Dorothy Thomas and Lloyd Gyles; his son Leon Gyles; and his children-in-law, Jack Stenberg and Linda Gyles.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Stenberg of Pleasant Lake, Marlene Osborn (Michael) of Okemos and Lamont Gyles of Mason; his close friend Betty Fogle; Gerry Grinold (Brent), Clare Everett (Janette), Clarice Hamlin (Paul), Marcia Everett, Barb Woolard, Marie LaLonde (Ralph) and Mark Everett (Cindy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Great Lakes Christian Homes (2050 Washington Rd, Holt, MI 48842). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
