She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Ritter and Edna Ritter (Carl); her husband Kenneth Sharlow, Sr.; and her children, Kay Jo Phillips and Richard N. Phillips, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, LaDonna DeFord (David) of Holt, MI, Cecile Threadgill of Murfreesboro, TN and Julie White (Delbert) of Hillsdale, MI; her stepchildren, Kenneth Jr. Sharlow (Rhonda), Patricia Loper, Pamela Sharlow, Betty Todd (Ken) and Bonnie Ray; and her brother Michael Ritter (Lee) of Jackson, MI.. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
