It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Azelton of Holt, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, H. Gail Springer and Jessie Springer; her husband Robert P. Azelton, Sr.; her son Robert P. Azelton, Jr.; her adoptive son Bock Aberle; and her siblings, Carolyn Knibbs and Clyde Springer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Katherine Azelton and Janet Fritts; her daughter-in-law Sharon Bell; her grandson Robert Perry Azelton III (Ronda); her great grandchildren, Perry and Reagan Azelton; and her nieces and nephews, Joanna Lilford, Laurel Andonian, Jeff Springer, Richard Azelton, Nancy Jackson and Pat Aberle. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and other extended family.
