He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd O'Dell, and Cleopatra O'Dell, Sr. (Cortright); and his siblings, Patsy, Barbara and Floyd, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Connie Jane Avery; his daughters, Sara Minniear of Homer and Staci Minix of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Payten Minix, Avery Minniear, Brooklen Minix, Easton Minniear and Jordan Brown; and his sister Sandra Stauffer (Ron) of Homer.
