He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Elmer and Eva Florence Olmsted (LaMontagne); his brothers, Allen and Robert; his nephew Michael Paul Olmsted; and his granddaughter Eva Suzanne Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Ann Jarvis; his children, Frank, Matthew Olmsted of Monroe, Michelle Montoya (Lloyd) of Boise, Marian Smith (Shane) of Viera and Monica Evans (Steven) of Monroe, Michigan.; his grandchildren, Miles Gunn, Maya Evans, Maddie Montoya and Garrett Smith; his sister Sharron Metz (Phil) of Howell; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Olmsted of Milford, MaryAnn Olmsted of Huntington Woods and Jane Coleman (Norman) of Oak Park, Illinois.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
