She is survived by: her husband John; her grandson Steven Ybema (Patty); her great grandchildren, Jolene Westendorp (Joel), Elizabeth Knoll (Ryan), Christina Kooima (Jon), Morgan Kwekel (Ben), Casey Ybema (Maddie), Martin Ybema and Sonja Ybema; her grandchild Marty Ybema; her great grandchildren, Adrianna Ybema, Karrie Kloosterman (Keith), Jonalyn DeJong (Michael), Grace Ybema and Elizabeth Ybema; her grandchild Janeen Klompien (John); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Anneke, Evan, Abigail and Elliot; her grandson Arthur Ybema (Julie); her great grandchildren, Amber Offringa (Kevin), Erika Berens (Devin), Sydney Ybema and Shelby Ybema; her grandson Charles Ybema (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Chip, Carien and Cecile; her siblings, Irene DeWyn (Evert) and Case De Hoog; and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth De Hoog, Lyke DeBoer and Joke Ybema. She is also survived by her family including her children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Reformed Church (7350 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Caledonia, MI 49316). A burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508).
