He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin VanDerMeer and Irene VanDerMeer (Picket). He is survived by : his cousin Jack VanDerMeer; his daughter Linda Krotz; his grandsons, Martin Krotz (Heidi) and Andrew Krotz (Autumn Bivins); his close friends, Bruce Carns and Kathy Keene; and also, Ken and Mary Harrama.
