He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Beard and Zola Beard (Chown); and his siblings, Clinton Beard, Marsha Klawuhn and Christine Caudill.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Marie Bunker of Davenport, FL, Shannon Dewaelsche (Todd Tilger) of Swartz Creek and Shane Beard (Yajaira Lopez-Beard) of Franksville, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, James, Kelcie, Giovanni, Angel, Jonathon and Jayson; his siblings, Troy Beard and Toni Van Dongen (John); and his brother-in-law Doug Klawuhn.
Memorial contributions in memory of Michael are asked to be directed to the Wounded Warrior's Project.
