It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert G. Spicer of Houghton Lake, Michigan, born in Burt, Michigan, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his brother-in-law David Price; and his parents, George Spicer and Ann Spicer. He is survived by : his wife Louise; his sister Jean Price; his children, Tricia Meade, Dr. Susan Spicer and Phillip Spicer; his children-in-law, Kevin Meade and Shelley Spicer; his grandchildren, Alexander Meade, Samuel Meade, Nina Meade and Brianna Edson; and his grandson-in-law Michael Edson. He is also survived by Nephews, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church at the address above.

“Bob Spicer was a true Gentlemen, and I am a better person for working for him. The world would be a better place if businesses had more leaders like Bob. He had great vision, he understood who his customer was and wanted and he worked tirelessly to provide that to them. He priced his products at a fair price to both the purchaser and to the business. He also treated his employees with respect and dignity. I have cherished the lessons I learned from him and carry them with me today. RIP Bob”
