Steven Mead Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Mead of Houghton Lake, Michigan, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Steven is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Steven's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Mead and Elizabeth Mead (Bedwell); and his son Steven Mead. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Burtis of Houghton Lake; his sons, Scott Mead (Amy) and Matt Mead (Cassandra); and his siblings, Tim Mead (Sally), Sam Mead of Grayling, Todd Mead (Jan), Joy Houghton (Jim) of Harrison and Kathy Williams of Grayling.

Memorial contributions in memory of Steve are asked to be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, a charity that was close to Steve's heart.
