He is survived by : his wife Lisa "Tenchita" Gordillo; his children, Gabriela Gordillo Granados and Gustavo Gordillo Granados; his brother Alfredo Gordillo; his cousin Carolina Hernández Gordillo; his parents-in-law, Alice and Earl Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Lora and Brandon Strayer; and also, Constanza Marcela Cifuentes Hernández and Ervin Cifuentes Hernández.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hugo's name to The Canterbury House for the work that they do to create a welcoming community for all.
