James Junttonen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Junttonen of Houghton, Michigan, born in Pelkie, Michigan, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, John Junttonen and Signe Junttonen (Kahkonen); his former life partner Joan Gaynor; his wife Barbara Laitinen; his siblings, Lil, Lynn, Wes, Jack and Kathy; and his son-in-law Scott Krennrich.
He is survived by : his children, Jack Junttonen (Joanne), Janelle Junttonen Krennrich, Vikki Frank (Joe), Gordon Wiitanen (Jill) and Jeff Wiitanen (Reneah); his grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Amy, Dan, Andy, Beau, Caroline, Courtney, Lauren, Steven, Melissa, Kristin, Tyler, Jaylynne, Elizabeth, Abby and Brody; his great grandchild Brantley; and his siblings, Ben Junttonen, Evy Hartzog and Diane Ewart Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Portage Hospice, 901 W. Sharon Ave.#1, Houghton, MI 49931, in memory of Jim Junttonen.
