He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Balowaara and Marcella Balowaara (Korby); his brother Richard; and his close friend Rebecca Koivu. He is survived by: his siblings, Ken Balowaara of Traprock Valley, Mary Gaabo of Forest Lake, MN and Gloria Strieter of Lake Linden. He is also survived by three nephews, two nieces, and several cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home (26090 Pine St, Calumet, MI 49913).
