He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelore Chartier and Bertha Chartier (Pelland); his wife Nancy Chappell; his sister Rita Lampaa; his daughter Kay Ellen Chartier; his brother-in-law Jim Chappell; and his niece Kim Ellegood.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Anderson (Keith) of Houghton; his grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson of Houghton and Aaron Anderson of Minneapolis; his great grandchildren, Morgan Wood (Bronson), Kade Farrell (Tiia Wickstrom), Brycyn and Paige Nettell; his brother-in-law Clyde Chappell of White Lake; his nieces, Nicole Chappell, Jennifer Chappell and Lilly; his great-nephew Conner; and his close friends, Henry "Pukko" Clouthier and John "Jupe" Erickson.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Service - Hancock (1017 Quincy St, Hancock, MI 49930). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
