She was predeceased by: her parents, Smith Rowley and Eulah Rowley (Griswold); her husband William McCarthy; her close friend Richard "Dick" Dennis; and her sisters, Rita and Keitha.

She is survived by: her children, Kelley Trombly, Cindy Weber (Rusty), Jody Owen (Marty), Jennifer McCarthy-Cunningham and Frank Ladner; and her grandchildren, Amber Ruiz-Chavez (Nacho), Mike Brewer (Beth), Joshua Brewer (Jamie), Heather Denton (Ted), Colton Newton (Sara), Megan Owen, Alek Soules (Sam), Brody Soules and Irelyn Cunningham. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
