He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Harper and Rose Harper (Helton); his daughter Joeanna McIntosh; his son-in-law Oscar McIntosh Jr.; his siblings, Dora Cooper, James Harper and Emma Yates; and his pet Sampson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Harper; his son Adrian Harper Jr. (Michele Cloutier); his grandchildren, Daphne Valade (Layne), Shana Bantau (Rick) and Andrew Harper; and his great grandchildren, Cody Valade (Madi), Christian Valade and Kassidy Bantau. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
