She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Thomas and Vivian Hazel Smith (Meador); her son Johnn David Bird; and her siblings, Sidney Ray Smith and Grady Joe Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Bird; her children, Tom Coniam (Sheila) and Kristyn Pearen (Rick); her grandchildren, Shelbi Hepworth (Mike), Jordyn O'Rourke (Mike), Benjamin Pearen (Ceci), Joshua Pearen and Noah James Pearen; and her great grandchildren, Madisyn O'Rourke and Sophia Hepworth.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - MacDonald Chapel (315 N Michigan Ave, Howell, MI 48843).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to Alger County Animal Shelter.
