She was predeceased by: her mother Violet Hessling (Kosal); her husbands, Edward Holdwick and James Peterson; and her parent August Hessling. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Holdwick-Carter, David Holdwick (Liz), Jeff Holdwick (Kim), Jason Holdwick (Erin) and Kathleen Hawn; and her siblings, Geraldine Bischer (Bob), Bob Hessling, Jerome Hessling (Alice), Judy Holdwick and Melvin Hessling (Patty). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - MacDonald Chapel (315 N Michigan Ave, Howell, MI 48843). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (425 E Washington St, Howell, MI 48843).
