With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Basil Bloss of Howell, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Basil left this world on November 28, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Bloss and Elma Bloss (Muchler); and his brother Bernard Bloss. He is survived by: his wife Coralene Jackson; his children, Christopher Bloss (Jennifer) and Ruth DeLong; his siblings, Beverley Hartman and Bradley Bloss; and his grandchildren, Alexandra (Jorge), Elizabeth (Caleb), Nathaniel, Andrew, Michaela, Josephine and Zachary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the 1st United Methodist Church (1230 Bower St, Howell, MI 48843).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Howell.
