He was predeceased by: his wife Denise G. Day; his son Donald R. Day; and his parents, Maxine E. Day and Donald E. Day. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Day and Shirley Marble (Phil); his children, Danielle Day-Burstall (Steve), Diane Day (Bill) and Darrell Day; his grandchildren, Lorainna Hubbard (Mitch), Daniel Gilley, Erica Guastella (Matt), Dakota Smith, Tyler Smar (Gift), Zachary Gilley (Gabriela), Collin Smar, Sarah Eischer, Martin Eischer, Juli Mann, Lane Day and Nikki Day; and his great grandchildren, Adalynn Smith, Ellie Smith, Anastasia Smith, Anthony Panella, Daphne Hubbard and Robin Hubbard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keehn-Griffin Funeral Home (706 W Main St, Brighton, MI 48116). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church (10601 Dexter-Pinckney Rd, Pinckney, MI 48169).
