It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Harris (Howell, Michigan), who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles J. V. Harris of Howell; and her parents, Joseph and Helen Harris of Howell. She is survived by: her sons, Timothy J. V. Harris (Ann) of Springhill, FL, David C. V. Harris (Jackie) of Petoskey, MI and Jeffrey S. V. Harris (Bev) of Butler, PA; her grandchildren, Brandon Harris (Ashley) of Germany, Katie Harris of Denver, CO, Brooke Harris of Harbor Springs, MI, Megan Harris of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Brianna and Kayla Harris of Butler, PA.; her sister Diane Tong of Theodore, AL; and her sibling's children, Mitch Tong of Goodrich, MI and Julie Ladnier (Stan) of Grand Bay, AL.. She is also survived by her sons, her grandchildren.
Dorothy was deeply humbled when she was awarded a special tribute for her contributions to the community by the Governor of Michigan in March 2020.
