He was predeceased by: his wife Jean; and his grandson Jeremy. He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Ortiz, Jerry (Pam), David (Maggie), Brad, Paul, Becky Connell (David), Chris (Lynn), Laura Moody, George Jr. and Jean Shoup (John). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
