He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayton Patterson and Genevieve Patterson (Laschinsky); and his brother James Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Loisel; his daughters, Wendy Fugate (Phil), Theresa Parkkila (Eric) and Kellie Kennedy of Florida; his grandchildren, Michael Fugate (Jessica), Josh Fugate (Rebecca), Jessica Fugate, Rebecca Fugate, Zac Miller, Lucas and Dylan Parkkila; his great grandchild Maci Grace Fugate; and his siblings, Dayt Patterson (Norma), John Patterson (Judy), Helen Austin (Patterson), Carol Palmer (Patterson) and Vicki Patterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants or perennials that will be planted in Jerry's yard which he took great pride in.
