He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophie Kot and Welc; his wife Carol Kot (Szczesniak); his siblings, Stanley Kot, Walter Kot and Mary Polskoy (Kot); and his brother-in-law Walter Polskoy.

He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Marcinkowski (John), Jeanette Kot (Richard Thurman), Linda Oberlitner (Alex) and Leslie Kot (Ross Heavener); his granddaughter Gina Marcinkowski; his siblings-in-law, Gary, Jackie Szczesniak, Lori and Jim Stumpo; and his niece Mary Ellen Rudzinski.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
