It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary T. Merlo of Howell, Michigan, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary T. Merlo to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Sciriha and Julia Sciriha; her husband Edward Merlo; and her siblings, Frank Sciriha (Karen) and Godwin Sciriha.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Merlo (Mayolet) and Dionne Williams (Anthony); her grandchildren, Eddie Merlo, Monica Merlo, Angelica Caswell (Brent), Mia Merlo, Veronica Merlo, Isabella Marini, OJ Samala and MJ Samala; her brothers, Paul Sciriha (Fran), Joseph Sciriha, Lewis Sciriha and David Sciriha (Rene); her sister-in-law Chris Sciriha; and her close friend Mary Medico.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes MacDonald Chapel (315 N Michigan Ave, Howell, MI 48843). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (425 E Washington St, Howell, MI 48843).
Memorial contributions may be made in in Mary's name to St. Vincent DePaul.
