Penelope Ann Sobonya Obituary

We announce the death of Penelope Ann Sobonya (Howell, Michigan), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 84. Penelope will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Czelusniak and Irene Czelusniak. She is survived by: her husband Paul; her children, Patti Forst (Gary), Paul Sobonya (Patti), Jeffrey Sobonya and Jennifer Creswell (Jonathan); and her siblings, Agnes Burzuk (Jerome), Nancy Liebau (Donald) and Gerald Czelusniak. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (6481 Faussett Rd, Howell, MI 48855). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (6841 Faussett Rd, Howell, MI 48855).
