She is survived by: her children, Shawn Thornton (Gailen) and Steven Swayze; her grandchildren, Alexander Silver (Cara Scozzafava), Lauren Silver-Turner (Jeremy) and Taylor Swayze; her brother-in-law Richard Counsellor; her nephew James Counsellor; and her niece Kelly Chunchick (Craig).
