He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Altwies and Mary Altwies (Jensen); his wife Mary L. Melcher; and his sisters, Delores Keel, Joanne Sawicki and Sharon Wilcox.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Cline (Bob), Ed Altwies (Jackie) and Kristie Gorsuch. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
