He was predeceased by: his parents, DeArle Brugger and Helen Brugger (King); his stepmother Lucille Green-Brugger; his sisters, Joyce Willett and Madeline Thompson; and his parents-in-law, Bill and June Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sue Clark; his children, Joseph Brugger (Dawn) of Hudson and Elisabeth "Betsy" Gust (Adam) of Clayton; his siblings, Lois Sayler of Adrian, Carolyn Mills (Rob) of Deerfield and Dennis Brugger (Janet) of Adrian; his brother-in-law Ken Clark; and his grandchildren, Silas Brugger, Adrianna Brugger, Ezra Gust (Piper Slovinski), Sarah Gust, Levi Gust, Naomi Gust, Aaron Gust and David Gust.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home – Adrian (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be given to the family to aid with final expenses.
