He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Handy and Vivian Handy (Vanderpool); his grandson Andrew Emery; and his sisters, Judy Handy and Marge Converse (George).
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie A. Raymond; his children, Rick Handy (Denise) and Christina Emery (Steven); his grandchildren, Rachel Handy, Sarah Siemen (Kevin) and Anthony Emery (Margaret); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Ezra Handy-Moore and Theodore Siemen; and his siblings, Linda VanPelt (Jim), Penny Rogers (Ned "Buck"), David Handy (Sandy), Phillip Handy (Georgia), Phyllis Brott (Dave), Terry Handy (Susan), Patrick Handy (Cathy), Cheri Calvin (Lyle) and Mary Sue Butler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
