He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Monahan Sr. and Cecila M. Hartley; his son-in-law Thomas MacFarlane; his granddaughter Sally Marie Monahan; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Edith Monahan; his siblings, Patrick Monahan (Hazel), Joseph Monahan (Phyllis) and Mary Lou Rentrop (James); and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Vedra, Wayne Seibert, Edward Martin (Shirley), John "Jack" Martin, William Martin, Sister Patricia Martin, Rosemary Case (William), Barbara Ferris (Charles) and Delores Figy (Gene).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Lee Martin; his children, Kevin Monahan (Sherrie), Mark Monahan (Jana), Deborah MacFarlane, Jeffrey Monahan (Elaine), Matthew Monahan (Angela), Marcia McDowell (Anthony), Paul Monahan III (Heather), Mitch Monahan (Sarah) and Mike Monahan (Nikki); his grandchildren, Lucas Monahan (Danny), Holly Monahan, Sarah Hoag (Michael), David Monahan (Denise), Alyson Monahan (Kysha), Johnathan Monahan (Jessie), Ashley Warner (Joshua), Justin Monahan (Amanda), Kelsey Monahan, Morgan Monahan, Alexander Monahan (Eva), Andrew Monahan (Kaitlin), Hilary Bielecki (Garrett), Ryan McDowell, Madelyn, Kloee, Parker, Vivian, Finn, Mason and Ty Monahan; his sisters, Margaret Seibert and Agnes Vedra; and his sisters-in-law, Gena and Nancy Martin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Homes - Hudson (504 W Main St, Hudson, MI 49247). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (207 S Market St, Hudson, MI 49247). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery-Hudson (5480 S. Us 127 Hudson, MI 49247).
